Simple Homemade Frozen Yogurt
This simple homemade frozen yogurt is perfect for those first summer days of June! Needing only a few basic ingredients, this recipe is both convenient to make and reasonably healthy. You can add a favorite fruit or a bit of chocolate for extra flavor. This recipe includes the use of an ice cream maker, which has turned out to be a great investment for us. Let the summer fun begin!
Homemade Frozen Yogurt
Ingredients:
- 1 cup low-fat yogurt (we use a plain yogurt or vanilla yogurt)
- 3/4 cup sugar (Stevia is also an option)
- 3/4 cup 1% milk (I usually use 2%)
Optional: 1-2 cups frozen chopped strawberries, peaches, or other favorite fruit. Peanut butter or crushed chocolate cookie crumbs are other options.
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients. Pour into ice cream maker bowl; allow to mix/stir for 20-25 minutes or until the ice cream reaches a soft freeze texture. Enjoy immediately or store in freezer until ready to use.
